Have questions about Website Management?

  • Does the monthly time rollover?

    No, your monthly time doesn’t rollover into the next month. Your monthly time reserves your place in our work queue and our resources allocation. Our clients find their monthly time is more than enough to keep their website up to date and looking great.

    If you decide you do need more time, you can always upgrade to the Pro plan, with unlimited 30-minute tasks every month.

  • What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?

    With our website management care plan, we do everything we can to prevent anything from happening with regular security checks and updates, however we cannot promise your website will not be hacked. If something does happen, we will assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

    Depending on your plan level, you may have malware removal and backup restoration included, but any additional hack fixes may include an additional fee. On the Pro plan, you have the Hack Fix Guarantee.

  • What tasks are included in the dedicated support time?

    30-Minute Tasks include content edits, updates, or changes that can be completed in 30 minutes or less. Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests. We just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website, such as installing a new plugin or adding new functionality, will likely result in an hourly rate as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

    These are the typical requests that can be completed in 30 minutes or less:

    • Swap photos
    • Add/edit/replace text
    • Update navigation links
    • Footer updates
    • Replace seasonal content
    • Edit pricing
    • Remove/hide pages
    • Edit landing pages
    • Add/remove form fields
    • Change custom field data

    Work such as adding new pages, graphic design changes, SEO strategy or consulting, writing copy, or purchasing new plugins or licenses are out of scope and will require a formal quote or hourly charge.

  • What if I need more hours?

    If a website task needs more than your dedicated monthly time, we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with your approval, either:

    • Bill for the time exceeded at our current hourly rate

    or

    • Submit a quote for the requested work
  • Can I really cancel anytime?

    We’ll be sorry to see you go, but yes: you can really cancel anytime. To cancel, simply request a cancellation via email to [email protected], and we will immediately stop the next payment on your plan.

  • What happens to my website if I cancel?

    If you need to cancel your website management plan, we will transfer the hosting to you. This may incur a transfer fee, as stated in your contract.

    We’ll also give you a personalized copy of The Website Owner’s Manual, full of all the information you need to keep your website safe, secure, and working the way it should. It also includes login details, and is a helpful place for you to assign responsibilities in-house.

  • My website was not built by EightySeven Web. Can I still be on a website care plan?

    These website management plans are for websites we build or re-design, but we welcome new clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated web professional.

    To get started, we’ll do a website audit to become familiar with your website, how it was built, and any potential issues that can arise. After that, we’ll perform all the website software updates and make a full backup. We will then transfer the website to our hosting service.

    Most importantly we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan. If you are interested in our website management, contact us to get started.
